Summer is over and fall is now in full swing. The cold weather is here, which means salt and shovels are not far behind. It has been a good year at Cliff's, thanks to all of our loyal customers and employees. Besides the normal hardware items, we have added more items to our garden seed department, grilling section, and housewares. In the coming months we will also be replacing our Porter paint display. The new display will be 12 feet worth of color cards, design suggestions, and a touch screen interactive monitor.
Unfortunately, we have also lost a couple past employees this year. Harry past away a couple months ago. He worked at Cliffs for many years. He was a staple in Sharonville. We also lost Leo this year. Leo did all of our receiving duties for nearly two decades before retiring in the early 2000's. They will both be missed.

Winter has been abnormally warm and we have seen very little snow. We are still waiting to see some accumulating snow. There are shovels and salt to be sold. There won't be too many more chances before Spring arrives. As far as Spring products go, we have already received 2012 seed packets($.99). The rest of our seed will be in stock by March 1st. We also just brought in a new display of safety glasses, d-i-y tile tools, WD40, made in USA hand tools, and tie down straps. So we are hoping for one big snow, then bring on the warm weather!
We have had our fair share of rain the last two months. It has pushed back the planting season to the conventional Memorial Day planting date. Cliff's still has packet and bulk seed ready for you, along with all your other home improvement needs. Whether it's paint, weed killer, extension cords, bolts, pvc pipe, or drain cleaner we have it. Come in and check us out. We also have some new faces around the store; Elmer is our new receiving clerk and Brady and Vinny are new on the sales floor. They are picking the trade up quickly with the help of our regular customers and the rest of the Cliff's staff. Keep an eye out for some of our new promotions this summer. Many local residents will receive birthday gift certificates, and everyone will be able to take part in the Porter Paint rebates this summer.
The warm weather is on the way. Our 99 cent packet seed display is now in stock(2500 packs). Bulk seed and onion sets will be here mid March. We also have our fertilizer programs ready. Spring is a great time to get moving on indoor and outdoor painting projects. Cliff's offers high quality Porter paint at lower prices than the competition, and our staff can match any color. Think local and shop local. Downtown Sharonville has some great new restaurants and other new businesses. Come check us out today.
Winter started early this year. Sharonville has already seen three snow storms this year. We have already gone through pallets of salt and dozens of shovels. If you haven't already, find Cliff Hardware on Facebook. We offer discount days which will be announced on Facebook. Cliff's also has a new neighbor next door. Soups n Scoops moved in a couple months ago. They serve great subs, soups, and ice cream. Stop down for your repair needs and grab a sandwich next door.
Finally, the cold weather is gone. We decided to expand our seed program this year, so we are fully stocked with vegetable and fruit seeds. Cliff's also is offering Scott's 4 step program for the first time to go along with the Howard Johnson's brand. Mulch has arrived this week as well, so we are ready to go with Spring.
We've seen over a foot of snow in Sharonville this week. Luckily, we were able to find snow shovels, ice melt, and rock salt after we ran out. Looks like we have more snow coming this weekend, so we're ready.
Today the new website was created. We hope to continue upgrading the site as we go. If you have any hardware questions either ask them here or submit it on the Contacts page.
